Psychiatric Drugs

Many people start taking drugs for problems like anger, sadness or attention span that are prescribed by a physician. These drugs, known as Psychiatric drugs, seem to mask the problems that you are having by a cover up with the prescribed medication. Some individuals really need these drugs for mental reasons, while others just take them for a cover up to dealing with life itself.

These drugs can and do lead you to drug addiction. These drugs attract you and once you get them in your system, you will think everything is better, when in fact these drugs are just covering up the problems that you have and make you not deal with the problems, emotions or true feelings that you should have.

Antidepressants - Cause emotional numbing and will give you false relief from emotional feelings.

Neuroleptic - disrupts the frontal lobe functioning in the brain, these drugs will make you less able to feel normal and carry on a normal life.

Mood stabilizers - slows down the brain's function and thus halts emotions and mood altercations.

Stimulants - blunt obsessive behaviors making you have less energy, less creativity and more observant.

Please be very careful in the taking of these psych drugs as they are addictive and can and do lead you to other drugs or alcohol. If this happens, you will not only have an addiction to psych drugs but also have been lead into a drug and alcohol addiction that will be much more complicated and complex.
