Cocaine Detoxification

Cocaine is an addictive substance. The absence or stopping cocaine abuse produces cravings and withdrawal symptoms. Common withdrawal symptoms from cocaine are anxiety, depression, and intense cravings. A cocaine detoxification program or treatment attempts to help an individual control the withdrawal symptoms and lesson the cravings.

The alternative to medical detoxification is a drug-free approach. In this approached cocaine detoxification would be accomplished through diet, vitamins, minerals, sauna's, and exercise. Sometimes referred to as a holistic approach of sauna detox. This type of detox program is still supervised by medical personal, but pharmaceuticals are not used.

Both methods are very effective in the treatment and control of withdrawal symptoms and intense cravings during cocaine detoxification. Once the individual has completed a detoxification program an addiction treatment program can be followed to address the mental and addiction issues.
